We have contracted with our elevator company the beginning phase for our elevator update. This involves the replacement of rails and rollers in the hoist ways of the shafts. They will be replacing parts on every floor door. The idea is to have at least one car with new parts going into the summer , and then the other at the end of the season. They will work during the day on one car, obviously running with the other. Then stopping at a good point for the day at night the plan is to have both cars running. This project could run into May.
Also the resealing of the main lot sometime in April with the contractor letting us know his schedule. Unfortunately that date can't be finalized outside of a week due to weather forecasting, and it will require all cars to be off the lot and across the street for at least a day. Walking traffic should be ok in one area by the end of the day to get back to the building. If you have a rental agency handling your unit you may want to give them a heads up. If you happen to be here please plan your day accordingly. Unless it's an emergency the only way off the property is by way of the beach around to the parking across the street.
Also this month brings our mandatory backflow preventer test directed by Grand Strand Water and Sewer. This test has the water turned off to the building on April 16th for up to five hours weather permitting. All these projects of course will be updated on this site as well as notices in elevators as well as informing incoming guests and owners at the front desk.
