Yesterday we made final preparations walking the property to review our checklist of items needed to be done. We filled additional sand bags and placed around our indoor pool and spa heaters to protect from surge. We are expecting 5-8 foot surge today. Relative to hurricane Mathew which was 3-5 foot surge we will have cleanup issues for sure. High tide today is scheduled for 1:30pm today and Dorian will be uncomfortably close to our coast at that time. We have removed the indoor pool windows to prepare for water flowing through the pool/spa and out the doors leading to the parking lot. Still refer to this website as well as www.wpde.com for live coverage along storm tracking through National Weather Service. We are far from over, so please stay away until we can see how we are after the storm. We will checking the property through out the day.
As soon as winds die down more than likely tomorrow morning we will begin our post storm inspections. Next post will be tomorrow, which we will report obvious damage. Our restoration company will be here first thing in the morning for interior inspections of every unit. We hope to have overall inspections report of interior by the end of day tomorrow. Anything worst that normal water intrusion like in the past through sliders we will notify individual unit owners. Keep a prayerful thought.
